Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for adult and geriatric surgical patients
- Deliver general surgical anesthesia in a hospital-based operating room environment
- Work within a supervised CRNA model to support team-based anesthesia delivery
- Collaborate closely with OR RNs and surgical techs to ensure smooth perioperative flow
- Participate in preoperative assessment and postoperative handoff/documentation
- Adapt to varied shift lengths and contribute to coverage for vacancies and leaves
Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credential required
- Active RN and CRNA licensure (local licensure or ability to work as a local provider)
- Experience with hospital-based anesthesia and general surgical cases (adult/geriatric)
- Comfort working in a Level III trauma setting
- Willingness to complete credentialing process (90-120 days) and comply with facility requirements
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for OR collaboration
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program (CRNA credential required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in anesthesia practice and perioperative patient management
- Familiarity with OR procedures and operating room workflow
- Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric populations
- Experience in hospital-based anesthesia and trauma-aware clinical decision making
- Comfort working within a supervised CRNA model and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Credentialing and compliance awareness for locum/temporary assignments
