Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe ambulation to promote independence
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care accurately and timely to support quality care and communication
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and families to deliver person-centered care
• Support infection control practices and follow facility safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice
• High school diploma or equivalent (see Education section for details)
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening per facility requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable local transportation (LOCAL ONLY assignment)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and safe transfer/mobility practices
• Comfort with taking vitals and recognizing changes in resident condition
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families and staff
• Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
