Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders with evidence-based interventions
• Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals that make a real difference for each patient
• Document thorough and timely progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support holistic patient care
• Provide patient and family education to promote carryover and functional progress
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for SLP licensure in Maine
• Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
• Current certifications and credentials per facility requirements; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred when available
• Comfortable working with a diverse caseload across ages and diagnoses
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with facility-based workflows
• Reliable, professional, and a great communicator who enjoys teamwork

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders
• Experience with treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning
• Familiarity with common documentation standards and clinical outcome measures
• Ability to adapt therapy to individual patient needs and work collaboratively with care teams
• Good organizational skills and time management to handle a full caseload
