Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and resident observations
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Comfortable working with older adults and supporting their physical and emotional needs
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA/Geriatric Nursing Assistant program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered approaches
- Practical skills in taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and safe transfers
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safe work practices
- Clear documentation and basic charting abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience when supporting residents
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
