Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery, keeping mom and baby safe
- Manage labor progression and collaborate with the care team to support positive outcomes
- Assist with deliveries and prepare patients for operative births when needed
- Interpret fetal monitoring strips and take timely action based on clinical findings
- Administer medications safely and within scope of practice
- Perform cervical exams as appropriate within your scope and facility guidelines
- Respond promptly and effectively to obstetric emergencies with calm clinical judgment
- Provide compassionate postpartum education and emotional support to families
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Current Montana RN license (required)
- Experience in Labor & Delivery (must have L&D experience)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Comfortable performing fetal monitoring and cervical exams within scope
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and ability to support families during childbirth
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics clinical knowledge
- Fetal monitoring interpretation
- Cervical exam technique
- Medication administration in obstetric settings
- Preparation for operative deliveries and obstetric emergency response
- Postpartum education and newborn care basics
- Clinical judgment, effective communication, and emotional support skills
