Shift Type: Per diem, days vary (weekdays and weekends possible), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents’ dietary needs are met
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with coworkers
- Create a warm, safe environment that promotes resident comfort and independence
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in good standing
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working with older adults and experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to follow care plans and facility procedures
- Ability to pass required background checks and any state-specific licensing requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Skilled in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents and interdisciplinary staff
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Attention to detail when observing and reporting resident changes
- Calm, patient approach to challenging behaviors and care situations
