Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident conditions, behaviors, and any changes
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to support continuity of care
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification required
- Comfortable working night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass facility-required background check and health screenings
- Friendly, patient, and respectful approach to working with older adults
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of resident care and activities of daily living
- Good documentation and basic charting skills
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
- Team player mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Basic infection control and safety awareness
