Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality adult endocrine care with a focus on diabetes, thyroid disorders, and osteoporosis management
• Manage an outpatient clinic caseload averaging about 15 patients per day with thoughtful, patient-centered care
• Document care and coordinate treatment plans using the EPIC EMR system
• Work collaboratively with clinic staff, including the incoming Certified Diabetes Educator, to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize in-clinic ultrasound capabilities where appropriate to enhance diagnostic care
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives to advance the practice and patient experience
• Engage with the community and colleagues to promote health education and preventative care

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology (required)
• Experience in outpatient adult endocrinology and managing diabetes, thyroid disease, and osteoporosis
• Comfortable using EPIC EMR system in daily practice
• Ultrasound experience is a plus
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential preferred or willingness to work closely with an on-site CDE
• Interested in permanent placement (position is permanent; locums not being considered)
• UCHealth is unable to accept visa candidates for this role

Education

• Completion of medical training and endocrinology fellowship; Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in diabetes management and complex endocrine disorders
• Strong knowledge of thyroid disease diagnosis and treatment
• Experience managing osteoporosis in adult patients
• Skilled in outpatient clinical workflows and patient follow-up
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR documentation and order entry
• Comfort working with in-clinic ultrasound for endocrine evaluations
• Excellent patient communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
