Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to assigned patients during night shift hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform focused assessments and monitor patient status, documenting changes in the chart
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control practices and a safe clinical environment
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to RNs or providers as needed

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
• Current immunizations and required background/health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/Vocational) program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Vital signs assessment and basic patient monitoring
• Wound care basics and dressing changes
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting fundamentals
• Infection control, safety protocols, and patient advocacy
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
