Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based general and regional anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical specialties
- Perform regional nerve blocks and advanced airway management to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage intraoperative patient care, monitoring and documentation throughout procedures
- Deliver obstetric and low-risk pediatric anesthesia services when indicated
- Participate in equitable call coverage and respond to on-call assignments reliably
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, nurses and perioperative teams to coordinate care
- Precept and mentor new graduates and colleagues, contributing to a culture of learning
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, credentialing requirements and continuing education
Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credential required; active or eligible for Ohio licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program (MSN or DNP preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS recommended for pediatric involvement
- Comfortable performing regional nerve blocks and managing general anesthesia across specialties
- Willingness to work in a multi-site practice and participate in on-call coverage
- Open to new graduates — physician one-on-one mentoring is provided
- Ability to work as hospital-employed (W2) or as a 1099 contractor, per candidate preference
- Must be able to reside locally or relocate to the immediate area as discussed during interview
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program (MSN or DNP preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong expertise in general anesthesia and regional anesthesia techniques
- Experience or familiarity with ENT, orthopedic, neurosurgical, gynecologic and urologic cases
- Skills in intraoperative patient management, monitoring and crisis management
- Knowledge of obstetric anesthesia and low-risk pediatric anesthesia principles
- Effective team collaboration and communication within a perioperative care model
- Ability to self-schedule and adapt to variable shift patterns across multiple locations
- Documentation proficiency and adherence to hospital policies and safety standards
