Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using evidence-based speech, language, cognition, and swallowing evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans that target meaningful functional goals
• Provide skilled therapy and track progress with clear, timely documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and families to coordinate comprehensive care
• Train and mentor support staff and family members to reinforce carryover and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with state and facility regulations and best practice standards

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Current or compact-eligible Pennsylvania SLP license, or ability to obtain state licensure quickly
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills will be considered
• Minimum clinical experience working with adult and geriatric populations preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by facility
• Clear background check, up-to-date immunizations, and ability to meet credentialing requirements
• Strong communication skills and a passion for patient-centered care

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in dysphagia evaluation and management
• Experience with cognitive-communication and language interventions
• Familiarity with AAC strategies and assistive technology
• Comfortable using electronic medical records for documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Solid clinical reasoning, time management, and family education skills
