Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional status and create individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to restore mobility
• Track patient progress, document outcomes, and update the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention
• Ensure a safe and effective treatment environment and follow facility protocols
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain productivity standards

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
• Clinical experience in orthopedic, acute care, or outpatient settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered mindset

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; entry-level Master’s or equivalent may be considered where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and outcome measurement
• Proficient with manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Comfortable using rehabilitative equipment and modalities as indicated
• Accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and caseload prioritization to meet clinical demands
