Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule includes rotating day/night coverage with weekend requirement (every other weekend or every 3rd weekend) and occasional blocked schedules as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal nursing care in a Level III NICU, managing patients with prematurity, RDS, hypoglycemia and more
- Attend deliveries for infants under 36 weeks and assist with APGAR scoring and immediate stabilization
- Titrate drips and manage common titratable infusions (TPN, surfactant, epi, antibiotics) safely and accurately
- Care for intubated infants and manage respiratory support including bubble CPAP and ventilators
- Perform central line care and coordinate with the care team for procedures and line maintenance
- Document patient care and communicate effectively using EPIC charting to ensure continuity and clarity
- Collaborate with neonatologists, NNPs and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
- Float to the newborn nursery and pediatrics as needed to support unit staffing and patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license (ability to practice in North Dakota required)
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience preferred (Level 3-4 experience preferred)
- Comfort and competency with drip titration and managing vasoactive/supportive infusions
- Experience with neonatal respiratory support (bubble CPAP, vents) and intubation care
- Proven ability to work in an open-bay NICU environment with variable acuity and 1:2–1:4 nurse:patient ratios
- Strong teamwork, communication, and family-centered care skills
Education
- ADN or nursing diploma; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal resuscitation principles and APGAR assistance
- Drip titration and infusion management
- Respiratory support techniques including bubble CPAP and ventilator basics
- Central line care and neonatal line maintenance
- EPIC electronic charting proficiency
- Familiarity with TPN, surfactant administration, and common neonatal medications
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and function in a fast-paced NICU setting
