Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour day shifts: Monday-Friday with variable starts 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM; Weekend coverage every other weekend with variable starts Saturday-Sunday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM; day shifts, rotating schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform sterile compounding and maintain aseptic technique to ensure patient safety
- Manage Pyxis deliveries, inventory and monthly outdate processes to keep medication systems accurate
- Conduct crash cart checks and refills to maintain emergency readiness
- Triage medication phone calls and respond to med messages promptly and professionally
- Document medication dispensing and pharmacy activities in Epic (EHR) with attention to detail
- Support medication dispensing across ER, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, imaging, cath lab and hospice
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nursing and clinical teams to optimize medication therapies
- Participate in department orientation and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) via PTCB required
- Colorado Pharmacy Technician License required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience with sterile compounding and hospital pharmacy operations
- Able to be in-state and available for the week of orientation (clinicians should be in-state even if modules are remote)
- Valid driver license and ability to meet the 60 mile radius requirement (DL must be submitted)
- Friendly, flexible, and hard-working attitude with strong teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) via PTCB required (license: Colorado Pharmacy Technician License)
- BLS (AHA) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Pyxis dispensing systems, including inventory, deliveries and outdate management
- Experienced with Epic EHR for medication documentation and charting
- Skilled in sterile compounding procedures and aseptic technique
- Strong inventory management and medication dispensing knowledge
- Able to perform crash cart management and emergency medication preparation
- Effective phone triage and med message response skills
- Comfortable providing coverage across multiple hospital service areas (ER, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, imaging, cath lab, hospice)
- Attention to detail, excellent communication, and a patient-focused mindset
