Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill and post-critical patients in the ICU/PCU with careful clinical judgment
• Provide clear, timely patient education using the best modalities for each patient and family
• Implement and document infection control and isolation procedures to keep patients and staff safe
• Follow restraint policy correctly, evaluate patients, and document appropriately
• Operate, troubleshoot, and follow repair procedures for essential telemetry and PCU/MedSurg equipment
• Accurately complete nursing documentation and charge documentation for each shift
• Ensure physician orders are completed and checked in a timely fashion, including 24-hour order reviews when applicable
• Give complete and accurate change-of-shift reports to the oncoming team
• Report critical lab values promptly according to policy and maintain emergency cart readiness and supply restocking

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license (required)
• Clinical experience in ICU, PCU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical care
• Comfort and experience working night shifts
• Willingness to float to the MSU when needed
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to safely operate and troubleshoot clinical equipment
