Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and continuously observe patient rhythms to detect changes early
- Respond swiftly to alarms and escalate urgent findings to the clinical team
- Document telemetry events and maintain accurate records in the patient chart
- Collaborate with nurses and providers to support patient safety and continuity of care
- Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure reliable operation
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through clear, compassionate communication
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Monitor Tech or in cardiac telemetry monitoring
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Willingness and ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Ability to comply with the 50-mile radius rule for this assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Comfortable identifying arrhythmias and basic EKG strip patterns
- Proficient with alarm management and prioritization
- Good documentation skills and basic EHR/charting knowledge
- Clear communication and teamwork skills in a clinical environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and privacy
