Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub cases and assist the cardiology team during procedures with precision and calm
• Maintain a sterile field and uphold the highest infection-prevention standards
• Execute efficient room turnover to keep the Cath Lab running smoothly
• Safely transport patients to and from the lab and coordinate timely handoffs
• Thoroughly document procedures, meds, and patient status in Cerner and Merge
• Respond to on-call situations within the 30-minute response window
• Support admissions and assist in the ambulatory care unit (ACU) when floating
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and charge nurses to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required, with PCI experience mandatory
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required
• Proven ability to scrub — RNs must be able to scrub for cases
• Pacemaker experience highly preferred
• Experience or comfort with procedural sedation preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner and Merge charting systems
• Able to respond to call shifts and work occasional weekends/holidays as scheduled

Education

• Active RN license required; BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong sterile technique and peri-procedural nursing skills
• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures (PCI, structural interventions, peripheral angio, EVARs)
• Proficient documentation and charting in Cerner and Merge
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural settings
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm during emergent situations
• Basic familiarity with pacemaker procedures and post-procedure care
