Shift Type: Day shifts, 8-hour (exact start/end times vary by schedule); occasional evening coverage required. 40-hour guarantee. Scheduling accommodations (block scheduling, shift swaps, etc.) are not permitted; staff must accept posted 8-hour day shifts with some flexibility for occasional evenings.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist surgeons across multiple specialties, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating instrument needs
• Prepare operating rooms and instrumentation for complex endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, laparoscopic and hepatobiliary procedures
• Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care and clear patient/family communication
• Document care accurately in EPIC and maintain up-to-date perioperative records
• Collaborate closely with surgical team members to ensure efficient case flow and positive patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly and effectively in stressful or rapidly changing surgical situations

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license in hand OR Compact RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience with SCRUB experience (required)
• Proven scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• EPIC electronic health record experience (required)
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
• Include permanent address and any requested time-off (RTO) at profile upload — RTO after submission will not be approved
• New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate must be uploaded with submissions (agency requirement)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) with active RN licensure (NH or Compact) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong operating room technique and sterile processing knowledge
• Comfortable with a broad surgical case mix including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable under pressure and in fast-paced OR settings
• Proficient with EPIC documentation and perioperative workflow
• Detail-oriented with strong situational awareness and infection-control practices
