Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures from setup through scanning and image processing to ensure diagnostic-quality images
- Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs safely and competently
- Operate and maintain MR and auxiliary equipment, following ACR imaging and safety guidelines
- Communicate findings and coordinate with radiologists, physicians, patients and families to support care
- Perform quality control checks, reporting tasks, and assist radiologists with specialized imaging needs
- Maintain daily schedules and contribute to efficient unit workflow in a 24/7 hospital setting
Qualifications
- Active Washington license required (pending licenses are NOT accepted)
- ARRT (R) and ARRT MR certifications required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum: 1 year MRI experience (posting also notes first-timers accepted — please confirm during application)
- Comfortable performing contrast administration and starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with PACS and charting systems (EPIC experience noted at the facility)
Knowledge & Skills
- MRI procedures and MR equipment operation (Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T experience a plus)
- Contrast administration and peripheral IV placement
- ACR imaging and safety guidelines adherence
- PACS workflow and image post-processing (MIP, MPR, ADC mapping, subtraction)
- Sequence knowledge: T1, T2, Spin Echo, Gradient Echo, Diffusion (non-brain)
- Specialty imaging: Abdominal MRA, spine and musculoskeletal imaging
- Familiarity with GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba platforms
- Strong patient communication and quality control skills
