Shift Type: Rotating nights, 3x12-hour nights per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Schedule includes weekdays and some weekends, rotating holidays, with Every Other weekend coverage. Night shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care for adults and geriatric patients in a PCU/Stepdown setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias with timely interventions
- Initiate IV therapy, manage central and peripheral lines, and support IV insulin and heparin protocols
- Manage high-flow oxygen therapy (HFNC) and other respiratory supports per unit guidelines
- Care for patients on cardiac drips (start and transfer to ICU as needed) and collaborate with rapid response teams
- Document care accurately in EPIC and communicate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
- Float to equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed to support overall staffing and patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Ohio (must be active)
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown or strong Stepdown experience
- BLS and ACLS required
- Proven telemetry experience and confidence with dysrhythmia interpretation
- Demonstrated EPIC charting experience (required)
- Comfortable with IV starts, central/peripheral line care, and implementing IV insulin and heparin protocols
- Previous travel experience preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- PCU/Stepdown clinical management and patient acuity assessment
- IV therapy and phlebotomy, including central line care
- Implementation of insulin drip titration and heparin protocols
- Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and respiratory support
- Ability to use EPIC for documentation and patient tracking
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking in fast-paced environments
