Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
- Deliver high-quality treatment in acute, inpatient rehab and outpatient settings
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner PowerChart and maintain timely charting
- Conduct bedside swallow studies and support video swallowing studies when appropriate
- Collaborate closely with PT, SLP, physicians and rehab aides to optimize patient outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate care with rehab aides, OTA/PTA as needed
- Float to cover assigned areas and adapt to unit-specific workflows
- Participate in unit orientation and Cerner training to ensure smooth onboarding
Qualifications
- Passed NBCOT (required)
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure as required by the state (able to submit license)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred (notes indicate 1+ year may be considered depending on inpatient clinical experience)
- Travel experience preferred and trauma experience preferred
- Experience with bedside swallow studies; video swallow study experience is a plus
- Comfort working in acute care, inpatient rehab and outpatient settings
- Ability to float to other areas and work collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (per state licensure requirements)
- NBCOT certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and developing OT treatment plans
- Strong documentation skills in EMR systems — Cerner PowerChart experience preferred
- Experience managing caseloads in inpatient and outpatient rehab environments
- Familiarity with common diagnoses: ortho, post-surgical, neuro, trauma, stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury
- Competence with bedside swallow studies; video swallowing study familiarity preferred
- Ability to supervise and coordinate with rehab aides, OTAs and PTAs
- Good clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills
