Roles & Responsibilities
- Support interventional radiology procedures by preparing equipment, supplies, and the procedure room
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy systems under established protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures with professionalism, clear communication, and compassion
- Maintain strict infection control and radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff
- Monitor patient status during procedures and communicate changes promptly to the clinical team
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in the medical record
- Participate in required competency evaluations and Trinity specialty testing to maintain high standards
Qualifications
- Current IR Tech certification or relevant license (License/Certificate Verification required)
- BLS certification required
- Prior experience as an IR Tech preferred; comfort with procedural support and imaging equipment
- Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
- Ability to pass required health screenings: Fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, physical/health statement, and Trinity 10 panel drug screen
- Clear color vision as required by facility screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
- Competence with fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities used in IR
- Strong patient positioning and monitoring skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and PPE usage
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural settings
- Comfort navigating electronic medical records and documentation workflows
