Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care for a busy ED, managing an average daily census of 55-60 patients
• Rapidly evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in MediTech
• Coordinate timely transfers to regional centers including Riverside, Grant, Genesis, OSU, and Aultman when higher-level care is needed
• Collaborate with and supervise advanced practice providers during peak shifts
• Support department flow and ED patient volume management to maintain safe, efficient care
• Participate reliably in night and weekend coverage to ensure continuous emergency services

Qualifications

• Experience practicing Emergency Medicine (posting seeks experienced EM physicians)
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and regular night and weekend coverage
• Familiarity with MediTech EMR or ability to adapt quickly
• Willingness and ability to complete credentialing (timeline noted at ~45-60+ days)
• Able to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per month and ongoing availability for 12+ months

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency medicine clinical judgment and triage skills
• ED patient volume management and flow optimization
• Experience with transfer coordination and regional referral processes
• Clear, efficient documentation practices (MediTech experience a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity situations and lead care teams
