Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging including CT (Siemens 64-slice), fluoroscopy, C-arm procedures, and portable radiography with accuracy and compassion
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment safely while following radiation safety protocols
- Assist surgical teams in spine and orthopedic cases, providing reliable intraoperative imaging support
- Document imaging procedures and patient information in Cerner EMR promptly and accurately
- Float across modalities as needed (portable CXR, fluoroscopy, X-ray, C-arm) to support patient care across the hospital
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient outcomes
- Promote a positive patient and team experience through professionalism, communication, and teamwork
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) — required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
- California CRT with Fluoro permit — required
- 3-5 years of radiologic technologist experience (3 years minimum required)
- Experience with Siemens 64-slice CT and C-arm strongly preferred
- Interventional Radiology (IR) and spine/orthopedic surgical experience preferred
- Willingness to work night shifts and float as needed
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Fluoroscopy and C-arm operation and safety
- CT imaging principles (Siemens 64-slice experience helpful)
- Portable radiography techniques
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR charting
- Intraoperative imaging support for spine and orthopedic cases
- Strong patient positioning and radiation protection practices
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced acute care setting
