Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility to restore independence
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain compliance with facility and state regulations to ensure safe, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active California COTA license (Required)
- Current BLS certification
- SNF or post-acute experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and document patient progress clearly
- Comfort working as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and functional mobility training
- Knowledge of implementing OT treatment plans and therapeutic techniques
- Strong documentation practices and outcome tracking
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with SNF regulations and post-acute care processes
- Patient-centered approach focused on restoring independence
