Shift Type: Rotating day schedule (typically 3 shifts/week to total 36 hours), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every other weekend required (Day shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality cardiac and telemetry nursing care on the 4 South Cardiac unit
- Continuously monitor and accurately interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to changes
- Document patient care and clinical decisions in Epic EMR with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
- Provide compassionate care while floating to Med-Surg specialty areas (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation) as needed
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Maintain readiness for emergency situations and follow ACLS/BLS protocols during codes and rapid responses
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure requirements apply)
- Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience (must be able to read telemetry — competency tested on day one)
- Current BLS required
- Current ACLS required
- Demonstrated Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory (no refresher or 1:1 training options)
- Comfort and experience working in cardiac/telemetry settings and floating to Med-Surg specialties
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Cardiac nursing and stepdown care
- Epic Electronic Medical Record proficiency for documentation and order entry
- Med-Surg nursing fundamentals and specialty floats (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
