Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and document vital signs accurately and promptly
- Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Report changes in patient condition to the nursing team and follow care plans
- Support team workflows by preparing supplies and assisting with transfers
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers, and safe mobility techniques
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
- Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and time-management skills
