Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist residents with mobility and safe transfers to promote independence
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure dignity during personal care
- Document care and observations clearly and promptly to support continuity
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current LNA / Licensed Nursing Assistant certification (valid for NH; VT applicability noted in title)
- Able to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Local candidates preferred (LOCAL ONLY noted in order)
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work effectively as part of a care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong basic nursing care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
- Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and infection control practices
- Dependable documentation and time management habits
