Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients during night hours
• Perform outpatient testing including pulmonary function testing, stress testing, and EEG testing accurately and efficiently
• Respond to neonatal and pediatric resuscitation events and support high-risk deliveries as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and testing results clearly in the medical record
• Maintain and perform quality checks on respiratory equipment and testing devices
• Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments, home equipment, and test results in a compassionate way

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP)
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience with a diverse patient population
• Experience with outpatient testing: pulmonary function, stress testing, and EEG testing
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• Experience with EPIC and bilingual Spanish speakers preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in respiratory therapy procedures and ventilator management
• Skilled in pulmonary function testing and interpretation
• Experienced performing stress testing and EEG testing
• Comfortable with neonatal and pediatric resuscitation techniques
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently on night shift while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
