Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients during night hours
- Perform outpatient testing including pulmonary function testing, stress testing, and EEG testing accurately and efficiently
- Respond to neonatal and pediatric resuscitation events and support high-risk deliveries as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and testing results clearly in the medical record
- Maintain and perform quality checks on respiratory equipment and testing devices
- Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments, home equipment, and test results in a compassionate way
Qualifications
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP)
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience with a diverse patient population
- Experience with outpatient testing: pulmonary function, stress testing, and EEG testing
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
- Experience with EPIC and bilingual Spanish speakers preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in respiratory therapy procedures and ventilator management
- Skilled in pulmonary function testing and interpretation
- Experienced performing stress testing and EEG testing
- Comfortable with neonatal and pediatric resuscitation techniques
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently on night shift while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
