Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform accurate patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and on schedule
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and clear communication
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and clinical changes

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — MST experience or specialty required (as listed)
• Active California RN license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Per diem availability for overnight shifts, including weekends
• Strong clinical judgement, teamwork, and patient communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills for overnight care
• Medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and handoffs
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
