Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) to aid cardiologists in diagnosis
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiography (TEEs) and stress echocardiography studies as indicated
• Operate and maintain Phillips Epiq scanners and manage studies in CPACS
• Document studies accurately in Epic and ensure timely charting and communication
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, radiology supervisors and the care team for patient-centered imaging
• Participate in call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and departmental protocols while delivering compassionate patient care

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification (RDCS and/or RCS) or equivalent registry credentials required
• RDCS-AE (Adult Echocardiography) via ARDMS required or highly preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience
• Comfortable using Epic and CPACS for charting and image management
• Able to submit valid driver’s license and work within a 60 mile radius as needed
• Willingness to participate in holiday call and occasional weekend scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, and stress echo protocols
• Experience with Phillips Epiq ultrasound systems
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record and CPACS image systems
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills
• Ability to prioritize a typical daily volume (~8 studies/day) while maintaining quality
• Understanding of cardiology workflow and collaboration with cardiologists for readings
