Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility with dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nurse
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and electronic records
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents and family members
• Support infection control practices and adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Help create a safe, welcoming environment that promotes resident independence
• Participate as a team member in care planning and shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (PA certification preferred)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained promptly upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and required immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Reliable attendance and ability to perform physical aspects of the role

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and resident care
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic charting and electronic health records
• Good infection control and safety practices
• Teamwork, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic mobility assistance and safe patient handling techniques
