Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that makes a tangible difference
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Respond to clinical emergencies quickly and effectively
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Champion infection control and patient safety best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS or NRP are a plus depending on unit
• Clinical nursing experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical rotations welcome to apply
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
• Ability to work required shifts and meet unit staffing needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
• OR an accredited nursing diploma with RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV management
• Wound care and basic procedures
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and handoffs
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
