Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 04-27-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; exact start/end times and specific days to be scheduled by the facility (shift type not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Provide compassionate, respectful care that supports resident dignity and comfort
Help with safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and skin breakdown
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with teammates
Support a clean and safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Build positive relationships with residents and families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team oriented attitude
Previous experience in long term care or acute care is a plus but new CNAs are encouraged to apply

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
Knowledge of infection control and proper PPE use
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Strong observational skills and ability to report changes in condition
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with residents
Teamwork and time management in a fast paced environment
