Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate polysomnography and sleep monitoring equipment to ensure accurate studies
• Monitor patients during sleep studies, recognizing and responding to safety or clinical changes
• Record, annotate, and maintain high-quality sleep study data and documentation
• Collaborate with sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff to support patient care
• Troubleshoot equipment and signal issues promptly to minimize data loss
• Maintain infection control, clean and restock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness for each shift
• Provide compassionate patient education and support to help patients feel comfortable during studies

Qualifications

• RPSGT OR WA Respiratory Care Practitioner (required)
• American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Current, valid WA licensure/certification as applicable
• Comfortable and experienced with overnight shift work
• Strong attention to detail and dependable documentation skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills for working with multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Polysomnography and sleep study monitoring
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot sleep lab monitoring systems
• Basic cardiac monitoring/ECG knowledge relevant to sleep studies
• Patient positioning, safety monitoring, and bedside care during sleep studies
• Familiarity with sleep study scoring and annotation best practices
