Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver high-quality nursing care for residents with compassion and clinical excellence
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility policies
• Document resident condition, interventions and responses clearly and promptly using the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — LPNs, CNAs, therapists and providers — to coordinate care plans
• Provide education and support to residents and families to promote recovery and well-being
• Monitor changes in resident status and escalate concerns appropriately to ensure safety
• Support a positive culture of care by mentoring staff, modeling best practices and participating in quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or available through facility
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related settings preferred
• Demonstrated strong communication, time management and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and any facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and clinical documentation
• Knowledge of wound care, infection control and standards of nursing practice
• Comfortable working with electronic health record systems
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills for a long-term care environment
• Team player with solid interpersonal and family communication abilities
