Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care
• Implement therapeutic interventions and modalities as directed
• Supervise patients during exercises, gait training, and transfers to promote safety
• Document treatment progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient discharge planning
• Maintain equipment and ensure treatment areas are safe and clean

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in Montana or eligibility to obtain state licensure quickly
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable working day shift hours and meeting the guaranteed weekly hours
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Prior outpatient or inpatient rehab experience preferred but new grads with solid clinical training are welcome

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• State PTA licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and patient handling
• Familiarity with common modalities and assistive device training
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to assess patient progress and communicate changes to supervising PT
• Strong patient education and motivational skills
• Time management skills to handle a full caseload while maintaining quality care
