Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities to create personalized care plans
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic exercise and manual therapy programs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely in the clinical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and discharge planning
• Adapt interventions to meet patient goals while ensuring safety and high quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in Maryland or eligibility for Maryland licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or completion of an accredited PT program preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable prior to start
• Experience in outpatient or post-acute rehabilitation preferred; travel/contract experience a plus
• Available to start the assignment on 2026-05-04 and complete a 13-week contract through 2026-08-01

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; DPT preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical reasoning in orthopedic and post-acute rehab settings
• Proficiency with therapeutic exercise, gait training, and manual techniques
• Skilled in patient education and family/caregiver training
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records with clear, concise notes
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively

This is a travel contract located in Lanham, MD, a convenient jump point for exploring the Washington, D.C. region.
