Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 4x10-hour day shifts with consistent weekly start times. Available start times: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM; 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM; 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Call rotation: 1 call per 4-week schedule (weekday call covers end of shift until 7:00 AM next morning; weekend call is 24 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM), scheduled by manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate during a wide variety of OR cases, ensuring patient safety and efficient room flow
• Coordinate perioperative care across multiple service lines, including ENT and transplant cases
• Operate and assist with robotic procedures using the DaVinci Xi platform
• Document accurately in the EHR (Cerner now; facility converting to EPIC) to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR teams to manage complex and high-acuity cases
• Serve as a reliable resource on the unit and support charge nurse run-board activities as needed
• Complete orientation and competency training, including online modules during the first week

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (state licensure expected for practice) with perioperative/OR experience
• Minimum two years OR circulating experience preferred; strong candidates with less may be considered
• Required: Circulator experience and demonstrated ability with ENT cases (FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, soft tissue thyroid/parathyroid)
• Required: Experience with DaVinci Xi robotic cases (Gyn, Uro, General)
• Proficiency in EPIC is a must; familiarity with Cerner is noted as current EMR
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers are welcome — orientation includes unit and EHR training with a preceptor

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing practices and circulating duties across multiple specialties
• Proven skill with ENT procedures and large, complex surgical cases
• Comfortable assisting with and coordinating robot-assisted cases (DaVinci Xi)
• Electronic health record documentation (EPIC proficiency required; Cerner familiarity helpful)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to work in a high-volume OR (50-65 cases/day across 22-26 suites)
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes; experience handling weekday and 24-hour weekend call expectations
