Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in rehab residents
• Develop individualized treatment plans that drive measurable progress
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions and document outcomes
• Collaborate with nursing, PT/OT, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care
• Train and coach caregivers and family members on carryover strategies
• Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and communicate effectively with the care team and families

Qualifications

• Active Wyoming speech-language pathology license or ability to obtain licensure promptly
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or clinical experience equivalent
• Experience working in a rehab/long-term care setting is highly valued
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfort working a 13-week travel contract (start 2026-05-18, end 2026-08-17)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; Bachelor's with appropriate certifications may be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia
• Familiarity with rehab documentation and outcome measurement
• Ability to create practical, goal-driven treatment plans
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and digital therapy tools
• Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
