Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the care team
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow patient care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN license if applicable
Experience in Med/Surg nursing (previous Med/Surg experience preferred)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications a plus
Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and time management skills
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Proficient in medication administration and basic IV therapy
Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment
