Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Measure and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and toileting while maintaining dignity
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Support infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Help create a warm, homelike environment that promotes resident comfort and wellbeing

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain before start
Comfortable assisting with personal care and safe patient handling
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and immunizations
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection prevention best practices
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nurses
