Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate for C-sections in the OR and provide safe perioperative nursing support
• Provide high-quality intrapartum and postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Continuously monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings and respond appropriately
• Administer and titrate IV medications such as oxytocin and magnesium sulfate safely
• Collaborate closely with surgical techs, anesthesia, APPs and the NICU team
• Perform neonatal resuscitation when needed and coordinate with Level III NICU resources
• Accurately document patient care and chart in EPIC to maintain continuity and safety
• Participate in unit orientation, teamwork, and coverage needs including triage and floating

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for submission in the state of Colorado
• Minimum of 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Proven ability to circulate in C-sections in the OR
• Experience titrating IV drips (oxytocin, magnesium sulfate)
• Comfortable reading and acting on fetal monitor strips; experience with GE Corometrics is a plus
• Willingness to self-schedule, float to postpartum, and cover weekends and holidays
• Driver's license and ability to meet the 60 mile radius submission requirement for orientation

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Intrapartum fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and newborn stabilization
• IV medication titration protocols and safe medication administration
• OR circulation for C-section workflow and surgical collaboration
• EPIC charting and accurate electronic documentation
• Triage assessment, postpartum care, and high-risk maternal conditions
• Teamwork with anesthesia, surgical techs, neonatal teams and APPs
