Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with daily living activities
- Monitor and document patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning with proper body mechanics
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
- Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Demonstrate professionalism and empathy while interacting with patients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care techniques and infection control practices
- Skill in safe patient handling and mobility support
- Ability to accurately chart and document patient observations
- Customer-service oriented approach to resident and family interactions
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
