Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient mobility, functional status and needs to create individualized PT plans
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for ortho, neuro and vestibular conditions
• Deliver skilled care for acute inpatient and outpatient caseloads (typically 8–10 patients/day)
• Provide BPPV and vestibular rehabilitation assessments and treatment
• Collaborate with PTAs, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document treatments and progress accurately in the EMR (Cerner) during department-specific orientation
• Educate patients and families on home programs, fall prevention and safe mobility
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license (required to submit)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a PT
• Experience with EMR charting; Cerner experience preferred
• Comfort working with general ortho, neurology, vestibular/BPPV and falls populations
• Ability to work in both acute inpatient and outpatient settings and collaborate with PTA staff
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Physical Therapy assessment and treatment techniques
• Orthopedics and neurological rehab principles
• Vestibular rehabilitation and BPPV management
• Falls risk assessment and prevention strategies
• Acute inpatient and outpatient care workflows
• Electronic medical record documentation (Cerner)
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 8–10 patients per day
• Collaborative practice with PTA support and interdisciplinary teams
