Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients during overnight hours
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following facility protocols
• Support efficient shift handoffs with clear, accurate documentation
• Maintain infection control and clean, organized patient areas
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Valid BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Able to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous experience in patient care or long-term care settings helpful but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Team collaboration and reliable follow-through
