Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and compassionately in an urgent care setting
Provide hands-on clinical care including wound care, splinting, and basic procedures
Administer medications and treatments safely, following policies and standing orders
Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure continuity and quality
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, care plans, and follow-up instructions
Maintain strong infection control practices and a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California preferred)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or available
Experience in urgent care, emergency, or high-acuity outpatient settings a plus
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
BSN preferred where available; equivalent clinical experience considered

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and triage in urgent care
IV starts, medication administration, and basic procedures
Wound care, suturing assistance, and splinting knowledge
Proficient documentation in electronic medical records
Patient education and discharge planning
