Roles & Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision and clear direction to nursing staff on policies, procedures and daily operations
Organize workflow and assign nursing resources to maintain efficient patient flow across the hospital
Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate appropriately, and lead rapid problem-solving during busy periods
Monitor employee productivity, give constructive coaching, and support professional development
Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical support teams and the Chief Nursing Officer on administrative decisions
Respond to and resolve patient and family complaints/concerns with empathy and professionalism
Oversee clinical care coordination for post-operative and complex patients, including those on ventilators and invasive monitoring

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years' RN experience in a hospital setting; recent ICU experience preferred
CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Demonstrated experience with ventilator support, A-lines, invasive lines and chest tube care
Proven leadership, resource nurse experience, and comfort supervising multidisciplinary teams

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical supervision and team leadership
Patient flow management and resource/staff assignment
Advanced nursing principles, post-operative care and cardiac monitoring
Critical thinking, clinical decision making and problem solving
Use of multiple IV pumps and advanced medical equipment
Strong communication and customer-service orientation
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and lead special projects
