Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts (specific start/end times to be confirmed with facility) — Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage initial and reappointment credentialing processes for medical staff and allied health professionals
- Verify licenses, certifications, education, and work history to meet regulatory and accreditation standards
- Maintain accurate, confidential credentialing databases and records
- Coordinate privileging activities with department chairs and medical executive committees
- Schedule and manage medical staff, department, and committee meetings; prepare agendas and minutes
- Support compliance efforts for CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulations during surveys and audits
- Facilitate communication between medical staff, leadership, and governing bodies across affiliated hospitals
- Coordinate provider onboarding, payor enrollment readiness, and integration of contracted/telehealth/locum providers
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years current medical credentialing experience (required)
- Minimum 2+ years current Medical Staff Office experience (required)
- Hands-on medical terminology experience (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred)
- CPCS and/or CPMSM certification preferred — certification must be in-hand at upload
- Experience with critical access hospitals (CAHs), rural healthcare, or multi-site coordination preferred
- Reliable vehicle required for this assignment
- Permanent address must be included in candidate profile
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required at submission)
Education
- Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of credentialing, privileging, and medical staff bylaws
- Familiarity with OPPE, FPPE, peer review documentation, and regulatory standards
- Proficiency with credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, time management, and record-keeping abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to liaise with clinical and administrative leaders
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience coordinating meetings, agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items
- Competence supporting payor enrollment and provider onboarding processes
