Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care for NVICU patients with complex neurologic and vascular needs
• Manage advanced lines and airways including central and arterial lines and intubation
• Monitor and care for patients with EVDs and collaborate with core staff for specialized management
• Use Meditech EMR to document patient care accurately and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and participate in critical decision-making to improve patient outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues across ICUs, BMT and PCU floors when floating is required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure requirements applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (candidates without ICU experience will not be considered)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Comfortable with central line and arterial line management and intubation procedures
• Experience caring for neuro/oncology patients and familiarity with EVD care is a strong plus
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Team-player attitude, accountability, and strong patient-centered care approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Advanced hemodynamic and ventilator management
• Central and arterial line troubleshooting and maintenance
• Airway management and intubation support
• Care for patients with external ventricular drains (EVD)
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
